Coaching

What Is Coaching?

Coaching is a formal process where an individual works with a trained professional to learn and create awareness about who they are, what they want and how they take action. Coaching is goal and action oriented. The coach helps the client set goals and develop an action plan. Working in partnership with the client, the coach helps the client practice and build the skills needed for the client to accomplish her/his/their goal.

Who Is Coaching For?

Coaching is for everyone! It is an individualized process that is designed to meet you where you are and help you get you where you want to go.

Coaching can help people with challenges in their personal relationships, like going through a divorce, and in making major life decisions, like deciding whether to go back to school. Coaching can also help people change careers or learn leadership skills that will lead to a promotion.

Coaching is an investment that will continue to give back to you over your lifetime. The self-awareness and skills you gain in coaching will help you expertly maneuver the twists and turns of your life and career.

Difference Between Therapy And Coaching?

Therapy and life coaching are both forms of support aimed at helping individuals improve their lives, but they differ in their focus, approaches, and goals.

  • The primary focus of therapy is to address mental health issues, emotional challenges, and psychological disorders. Therapists work with clients to explore and understand their past experiences, emotions, and behaviors to promote healing, growth, and well-being. The ultimate goal of therapy is often to improve mental and emotional health and address underlying issues that may be causing distress.

  • Coaching, on the other hand, is more future-oriented and goal-driven. Coaches work with clients to identify their aspirations, set specific objectives, and develop action plans to achieve personal or professional goals. Coaching typically emphasizes personal development, performance improvement, life satisfaction and mental well-being. Our coaches at North Georgia Coaching Solutions are trained to help clients improve their overall mental and emotional well-being.
